Valor Wins Midland, TX

The Advanced Infrastructure Analytics team secured a contract worth nearly $150,000 for an intelligent meter management program from the City of Midland, Texas. The City will use our Hidden Revenue Locator to glean insight into apparent water loss issues (water that is consumed but not properly measured, accounted for or paid for) by identifying and ranking customer meters that are losing revenue due to meter and data handling inaccuracies. On average, about 5% of retail water is not registered at the meter, or unbilled for, representing approximately 2% of a utility’s top-line revenue. Our meter management program will analyze more than 47,000 meters in Midland’s network, and represents our second win in the state of Texas for our cloud-based analytics solution to address the city’s water productivity needs. Congratulations to Christine Boyle, CEO, Valor Water Analytics; Clayton Coe, Business Development Manager; and Carl Sharkey, Business Development Manager.
